Wisdom Everest

Faced with fierce competition in the global textile industry, factors from market demand to supply have made promoting digital transformation into smart factories a key strategy for textile companies to enhance their competitiveness. At this critical moment, Everest Industrial has used its 35 years of vertical integration strength, from yarn, weaving, dyeing and finishing to post-processing, to promote smart manufacturing and build the textile industry's first "digital mainline smart platform" applied to production lines, moving towards the vision of realizing smart textiles.

◉ Building a smart factory in the textile industry

As early as the end of 2024, Everest Industrial launched the "Smart Everest" plan and invited external industry, academia and research experts to serve as consultants to jointly promote intelligent digital transformation. First, we collected relevant on-site data, updated the core ERP system to the latest version of the SAP S/4 HANA system, and integrated the production management system into the MES system of Infocom. At the same time, we also automated office business processes and began to cooperate with external partners to carry out AI analysis applications. Smart factories must connect machines in the factory area for system integration. Therefore, we have successively completed the dyeing automatic weighing system, dyeing machine, setting machine IOT, cloth car positioning system, AOI smart fabric inspection system, robotic arm automatic packaging system for processed yarn, and introduced automation and semi-automatic production lines for ready-made garments. These collect in-factory data enable instant equipment monitoring and troubleshooting, helping to establish a virtual-real integration system for smart decision-making.

◉ Everest Industrial, ITRI, Tsinghua University, and Advantech create “Wisdom Everest” for the textile industry

Everest Industrial, ITRI, Tsinghua University, Advantech, and other industry-university-research institutions have jointly launched the “Wisdom Everest”  project, introducing production management models such as smart scheduling, real-time monitoring, smart energy management platform, AI film optimization, and AOI mosquito identification system. They are also integrating and updating the manufacturing execution system (MES) and enterprise resource planning system (ERP). Starting from the Tainan headquarters, “Wisdom Everest” will be fully implemented and gradually expanded to other factories.
