ESG Report

Global Layout

Everest operating bases span three continents. With Taiwan as the global logistics center, Everest has set up factories across Asia: in Tainan, Taiwan; Shanghai, China; and Rajapuri, Thailand. At the same time, it has expanded across the Americas and Africa, setting up factories in the United States and Ethiopia. With major cities such as Taipei, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and New York as business and marketing bases, Everest has successfully promoted its business territory worldwide through this dense sales and service network. The U.S. factory vertically integrates yarn weaving and dyeing processing facilities, makes good use of regional incentives in various countries to expand garment factories, collaborates with the global operations of existing customers in developed countries in Europe, the United States and Japan, and expands into emerging global markets to lay the foundation for future sustainable operations.

◉ Enterprise Value-Global Logistics Management EV-GLM

In order to enhance the company's value and competitiveness, Everest has turned innovative thinking into action by promoting the IDM (Innovation Design Management) business model. This approach emphasizes innovative fabric design, and has successfully transformed Everest from a passive supplier into a diversified, integrated service provider, directly cooperating with apparel brands and distributors. Currently, Everest is actively expanding the value chain into the garment market. By using high-value fabrics to develop premium apparel, the company is realizing the innovative design goals of GIDM (Garment Innovation Design Management), pushing Taiwan's textile industry toward a knowledge-intensive, service-oriented transformation.

To support these strategic goals, Everest focuses on building two key capabilities: one is innovative design capability, and the other is global operations capability. Everest has established a global operations headquarters to integrate these two core strengths. In terms of information systems, it has connected R&D resources across three regions and introduced a textile collaborative design platform (PDM/CPC), enabling early involvement of both customers and suppliers. At the same time, it integrates value chain resources through a global operations management system (EV-GLM) to maximize the benefits of its global presence. By combining innovation with strategic global integration, Everest continues to drive industrial upgrades and enhance its long-term competitiveness.

EV-GLM is a powerful tool for Everest to leverage the benefits of its global layout, enhancing the company's competitive advantage through "integrating demand, adjusting supply and demand, global operations, making decisions in Taiwan, just-in-time supply, and advantageous costs."

Improve global e-operation capabilities

It uses a global sales, production, and logistics model to integrate production, sales, research and supplier resources from factories in Taiwan, Shanghai and Thailand, and uses the power of information technology to drive 31 upstream and downstream system manufacturers to increase the annual output value of the industry by more than 5 billion TWD. Global innovative design and order management: Use IDM to innovate fabrics, combine with upstream garment design studios to design innovative garments, entrust downstream garment factories to produce sample garments and then promote them to customers. Outsourcing design project management and the establishment of an order management system.

▌ Industry Overview

  1. Current status and development of the industry  In 2024, due to high interest rates, high inflation and China's economic recovery that is not as expected, global terminal demand is weak and manufacturing activities slow down. Geopolitical instability (such as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and Israel and Palestine) has exacerbated global economic and social uncertainty. With the recent recovery of US demand and brand destocking, terminal demand is expected to pick up. International organizations predict that global trade volume will grow in 2025. Domestically, employment and consumption are stable, and the subsequent development of the textile industry is expected to pick up.
  2. The correlation between the upstream, midstream and downstream industries The textile industry is an essential industry for people’s livelihood. The upstream of the industry chain is chemical fiber manufacturing (raw materials come from the petrochemical industry), the midstream is the spinning and false twisting process of natural fibers and chemical fibers, weaving and dyeing and finishing, and the downstream is the textile manufacturing industry such as ready-made clothes, apparel, curtains, etc.
  3. Product development trends and competition The world is focusing on sustainability and carbon reduction, which have become important criteria for apparel brands to select suppliers. Taiwan's textile industry is actively investing in sustainable environmental protection, functional applications and smart manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on "sustainable + functional" products. In the face of competition, companies use innovative technologies to develop materials that take into account both environmental protection and functionality, and consider the diversified development of the circular economy to expand future business opportunities.
