In line with its commitment to sustainable management, Everest Textile continues to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its business strategies, leveraging its corporate influence to create long-term value for stakeholders. Demonstrating this commitment, Everest has donated a blood pressure monitor to Shueh Tzu General Store in Shanshang District, establishing an “Peace of Mind Blood Pressure Station”.

The initiative provides residents with a convenient location to regularly check their blood pressure, encouraging habitual health monitoring, reducing chronic disease risks, and supporting community-based self-health management. This effort reflects Everest strong dedication to public health, social responsibility, and extending the spirit of sustainability into the local community-embodying the goal of shared prosperity between business and society.

The “Peace of Mind Blood Pressure Station” represents a meaningful collaboration between Everest and the local community. By offering a quick and accessible blood pressure measurement point at a familiar location where residents shop daily, the initiative enhances health management convenience, reduces cardiovascular risks, and promotes early prevention and timely management of potential health conditions. Everest has set clear implementation goals: in its first year, the initiative aims to serve over 300 residents, and within six months, to increase community health awareness by more than 30%. As additional stations are gradually established,Everest seeks to build a comprehensive community health network that enhances health literacy, reduces the progression of chronic diseases, and minimizes the burden on medical resources—strengthening community capacity for self-managed wellness. The initiative is led by Everest Environmental, Safety, and Sustainability Department, incorporating health promotion into the company’s overall sustainability strategy.

This project not only reinforces a positive corporate image but also enhances the company’s ESG performance, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being. Furthermore, it deepens Everest connection and trust with local communities, while strengthening employee engagement and awareness of sustainability values within the company. Frank Lin, Everest Vice President and Head of Sustainability, stated: “We believe that corporate sustainability is not only about environmental stewardship but also about the shared well-being of people and society. The launch of the “Peace of Mind Blood Pressure Station” strengthens community health promotion and demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding public well-being. Everest will continue to take concrete actions to build a safer, healthier, and more sustainable living environment”.

“722 Blood Pressure Station”— Making Blood Pressure Management Easier To help the public better understand their blood pressure and reduce the “white coat hypertension” effect, Taiwan’s Health Promotion Administration encourages all adults aged 18 and above to measure their blood pressure at home at least once a year, following the

“722 principle”:

7 – Measure for seven consecutive days

2 – Take two readings per day (once in the morning after waking, once before bed)  2 – Take two measurements each time and record the average

However, many people forget to measure or record their readings. To address this, AI-powered digital tools now provide convenient reminders. Residents can photograph and upload their blood pressure readings to a health management app, where AI and cloud analytics interpret the data and offer personalized health advice. This smart integration of technology helps individuals better manage their blood pressure and effectively reduce the risk of hypertension.
